Why Manchester is Great For First Time Buyers
If you are a first time buyer looking for the buzz of the city, Manchester might be the perfect place for you. Rightmove investigated the asking prices for several different major cities in the United Kingdom since January last year. While property prices in other Northern cities such as Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham have dropped, property prices in London have been fairly steady. However, average prices in the capital are three times higher than the rest of the country.
In Manchester however, the average asking price for a property has been stable and did not go up or down. In Manchester the average price is around 270,000 for a property, which compared to London’s 477,000 is a staggering difference. At Benson Bunch, we see a lot of buyers that are moving from London to both Manchester and Cheshire areas as you can get a lot more for your money up North but can still benefit from great transport links which will get you into London and other major cities fairly quickly.
If you are thinking of moving to Manchester or Cheshire, or are thinking of selling your property here, please do not hesitate to contact us and see how we can help. We also have properties for sale that are not on the general market.
